As a child, Calgary born Noel Johnson’s passion for music was limited to singing along with the latest Disney soundtrack. As Noel matured so did his musical taste. At age 16, Noel received his first guitar. It was a gift from a family friend and in the summer of 2002 he learned just enough chords to write his own songs. They started out as joke songs to entertain family and friends but eventually Noel’s music evolved. He started to take it more seriously, writing about life experiences and observations with soaring melodies and catchy lyrics. In recent years, Noel has grown as a musician and a person, adopting the role of singer and songwriter in a number of rock, alt rock and folk acoustic bands. In 2008, Noel Johnson launched his solo career with his first EP set to release in 2009. Noel has entertained family, friends and the many fans that have followed him from the very beginning and he looks forward to entertaining you. Thank you for being a part of his musical journey.
