Fredo Viola's debut album The Turn, released March16th 2009 on Because Music, is an inspired marriageof 21st century electronics and the oldest ofmusical instruments, the human voice. Combiningtraces of singer-songwriter pop, ambientelectronica, classical, religious hymns andmediaeval folk ballads, but with a strong andsingular style entirely his own, Fredo says, "Whenpeople ask, I usually say Beach Boys meets SigurRos."

Fredo Viola出生在英国伦敦，5岁前都生活在英格兰和罗马，后来，一直辗转于纽约和洛杉矶。和大多数的音乐才子一样，读书的时候除了音乐，其他学科都不怎么感兴趣，Viola花了很多的时间在唱歌上，参加了许多大大小小的表演。最终就读于纽约大学艺术学院，学习电影导演。在大学期间，Fredo Viola认识了很多著名的古典音乐家，并深受影响。离开学校后，Viola尝试编辑和动画设计的工作，并竭力节约开支，成立自己的录音室。2004年是Viola关键的一年，他通过Youtobe发布了单曲《The Sad Song》，凭借出彩capella，中提琴以及美妙的MV，在网络得到了很多人的关注。直到2007年被法国场牌Because看中，并在底发布这张《The Turn》。
