The Poodles is more than just your average, run-of-the-mill, rock act.
A distinct group of Sweden's most experienced metal and hard rock musicians have assembled to spread metal to the people. That's the mission of the mighty Poodles from Sweden.
"We want to make people feel good, powerful, and free. In the world we live in, there is an obligation to stand up for what you believe is right. Too many people are trying to control you, so we want to represent something different. We want to inspire our listeners to live life the way they want to without letting conventions rule you." says Jakob, lead singer of The Poodles.
Over the years, the members of the band have worked in different contexts and constellations with international celebrities like Mot?rhead, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy, and Swedish colleagues like Europe and Candlemass.

In the fall of 2005 the first official line-up was completed and in the spring of 2006 The Poodles competed in the Swedish version of the "Eurovision Song Contest", which also marked their big break-through in their native country. The debut album "Metal Will Stand Tall" was released in Sweden & Finland in May 2006 and soon after in Japan by King Records, IROND in Russia and the CIS. It topped the Swedish sales charts, and the debut single "Night Of Passion" sold gold in Sweden after just three weeks. It has now sold platinum and it was also the number one downloaded song three weeks in a row!

The second single from the album was the title track "Metal Will Stand Tall". It featured guest vocals by Tess, member of the disco group Alcazar, who sings in a blistering duet with Jakob and who is also featured in the video clip. It entered the singles chart at number two one week after its’ release, climbed to the number one spot and sold gold after just on month! Also, a third single, "Song For You", was released and hit gold status.

"Metal Will Stand Tall" features songs by some of the most well known songwriters in the world such as Holly Knight (Tina Turner, Aerosmith, Kiss etc) and others.

During 2006 the band played over 100 shows in Sweden and in January 2007 "Metal Will Stand Tall" was released in Europe by AFM Records. Following the release they went on tour across Europe with Hammerfall and Krokus, together they did 31 shows in 18 countries in only 35 days.
On April 25, 2007 The Poodles released "Seven Seas", the first single from their second album "Sweet Trade". Just like the debut album "Metal Will Stand Tall", it was produced by Matti Alfonzetti and Johan Lyander. The song "Seven Seas" was written by Jakob Samuel, Jonas Reingold and Peter Stormare who is also featured as Black Sam - the pirate on the song. (Peter Stormare – the actor in inter alia Prison Break, Fargo and Jurassic Park).
With canons loaded, the sails hoisted for the journey under a dawn sky, the album "Sweet Trade" was released on September 19, 2007 in Sweden as well as in 30 European countries, Russia and Japan, and on October 12 The Poodles embarked on another crusade - showing Europe the sweet trade of heavy metal.

The second single to come off the "Sweet Trade" album, was "Streets of Fire", which raced through the charts to eventually sell double-platinum, the greatest number of sold singles to date by the band.

The fall of 2007 was spent on the roads of Europe, playing hall-size venues as Special guest with Gotthard. The response from the crowd and business associates alike was fantastic. The groundwork was now laid for a headline tour of their own.
In the spring of 2008, the band was once again featured in the Swedish leg of the "Eurovision Song Contest". This time they allied themselves with the well known artist E-Type, a multi-platinum selling act by himself. The song "Line of Fire" was well received and has reached gold status.

Next, The Poodles tried their wings playing a headline tour of their own, with Jaded Heart as Special guest. The tour consisted of 17 sold-out dates throughout Europe with blasting results. Some shows were even moved to bigger venues as a result of the great interest in the band.
As spring turned to summer the band was asked to record and perform the Official Swedish Anthem for the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing in August 2008. "Raise the Banner" was released on July 15 and reached gold status shortly thereafter. The song “Raise the Banner” also hit the number one spot on the Swedish sales-chart in August of 2008.

In May, 2008, Pontus Norgren decided to leave the band. In the wake of this, The Poodles didn’t hesitate to contact the guitar player first considered for the band, Henrik Bergqvist (previsously in Southfork and Tiamat), who now was avalible. Back in 2006, however, he was stuck in the Mexican rain forest among the Mayan Indians and no guitar within a 350 mile radius as well as other obligations hanging over his head. In Henrik, The Poodles found the perfect persona with the right musical qualities and energy for the exiting adventures that lay ahead.

Starting on June 6, which also was Henrik's premiere with the band, The Poodles embarked on one of the biggest Swedish summer tours of any act, playing more than 30 shows in a little over 2 months. From Sweden Rock in the south to Pajala in the north, the band zig-zagged across the Swedish country side like true rock'n'roll demons.

The band also found time to do a couple of summer festival shows in Europe where they realized that all the hard work they put in during 2006 and 2007 was beginning to pay off. Audiences were both numerous and enthusiastic, something the band took home with them in preparation for the new recording effort that awaits in the fall of 2008.

Planned for release in the spring of 2009, the band's third album promises to be something extraordinary. An amazing group of talented songwriters has joined forces to help create a pool of songs that will jolt even the most jaded music lover. Pay money To my Pain (abbreviated as P.T.P.) are a Japanese Nu metal/Metalcore band. All of the band's lyrics are in English.

After the disbandment of vocalist K's previous band Gundog, in 2005, he recruited four members and formed Pay money To my Pain. They began to produce songs by themselves before getting noticed quickly by the record label, VAP. From there, they released their first major single "Drop of ink" on December 6, 2006.

Several months later, they ventured to California where they recorded their first album, Another day comes, which was released on the September 12, 2007. This album included "Home", the Buzzer Beater ending song, and "Another day comes," the ending song for Ultraseven X.

In May 2008, the band announced on their official MySpace that a new EP was in the works. In June, the EP was finished as Writing in the diary and was released on July 30, 2008.

Anti-normative behavior is expected from most successful artists. There is little reason for them to pay much attention to the Top 40, since worthwhile artists do not derive their material from popular opinion.
It may seem like a bold statement, but there is little purpose in devoting a large amount of time to a songwriter who sounds like everyone else on the radio. Listeners come to expect innovation but there is often a personal struggle for artists that wish to find the middle ground between accustomed accessibility and staggeringinnovation.
This process often cannot be resolved through practice though, as the proper ideology appears to be embedded within the talented scope of an artist whether it is before they start writing songs or not.
If one has a tendency to gravitate toward the unconventional in the early stages of their life, it can provide good indication of such an embedded ideology. When Julian Velard was in his teens and started to become wildly interested in music, one can imagine the social circumstances that surrounded him. Unlike today's auto-tuned R&B and subliminally linear pop music, the 29-year-old experienced the likes of Pavement, Nirvana, and the Pixies when music began to first tickle his ears.
He enjoyed the emerging genres of grunge and indie-rock but, unlike his peers, much of Velard's attention was diverted elsewhere: cabaret-style pop music.

It was inevitable that after releasing such a solid EP that It's Like Love would eventually get signed. Tragic Hero Records became the lucky home for the powerpop quintet back in August of '08 and now five months later, they're releasing their debut album, You're Too Sweet for Rock & Roll.

The aforementioned EP, I'm Selling Your Things, was a synth-driven trip into poppy melodies, catchy hooks and infectious vocals; it reminded me much of early Motion City Soundtrack. You're Too Sweet possesses some of the same qualities present in the EP but still manages to let the listener realize that this isn't the same It's Like Love from over a year and a half ago.

The band shows off their progression with tracks like "Untitled," a mellow acoustic song, and "Without You," the album's slowest song powered by piano throughout. However, songs such as "Devin, Don't Give Up" and "It's Not Me, It's You" (the album's opener) display their Motion City Soundtrack-esque musicianship which their earlier fans have grown accustomed to.

"You Put the Whore in Sorority" takes the band's catchiness to a whole new level as the song's chorus is one of the strongest in the band's catalog and arguably in the genre. It's Like Love also makes the un-surprising move of re-recording tracks from their EP to add to the full-length. The re-recorded tracks, "Keep Your Eyes On Me," "Alcohol Brings Out the Bedroom Eyes," and "So I Lied" may take a bit to warm up to for listeners who were used to the originals as I feel the band took away the zing that made them previously pop.

All in all, it's January; it's cold, and there's not too many things I'd rather do than to sit back with the heat on and listen to some music that reminds me of the Summer months. If you're like me - keep warm and give It's Like Love's You're Too Sweet for Rock & Roll a shot.

Hailing from Los Angeles California, the members of DRIVE A come together to forge a killer mix of pounding drums, lethal guitars, cascading bass lines and fierce vocals that converge to create a sound that pays respect to the past, stands up to the present and will kick down the door to the future. A switchblade to the soft, white underbelly of today's watered-down state of music, DRIVE A are pure, raw energy - on stage and in the studio - which is, after all, what Rock 'N' Roll has always been about.
DRIVE A got its start when lead vocalist/guitarist Bruno Mascolo met rhythm guitarist Jason Nott outside of the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles in the spring of 2007. After discovering they had similar tastes in music, the two began formatting their ideas for a band, developing their own style and a bond was formed. Once they honed their approach, the two of them hooked up with Terry Stirling on drums, a couple of different bass players and began writing songs that had a remarkably developed blend of killer riffs, punk rock hooks, and a raw, Rock ‘N’ Roll gutter-snarl. Jumping in a van, the band took their high-energy live show on the road, performing well over 100 shows in just over a year including various stops on the 2008 Warped Tour, their own tour of the U.S., as well as sharing the stage with the likes of Rise Against, Papa Roach, Stone Temple Pilots, Anti-Flag, Pennywise and Billy Talent among others.
“It’s been amazing to go out and play with some of the bands that have influenced us in one way or another,” says Bruno Mascolo adding, ”I grew up listening to bands like Billy Talent, Anti-Flag, and Rise Against and now we are on the same bill with them, hanging out and seeing everything from the other side.”
Now, with the addition of their new bassist Chris Bowman, Drive A is set to release their debut album, Loss Of Desire. Years removed from the blank generation, generations X and Y, and even generation next, Loss Of Desire picks up the flag for a new generation, their generation, which is being pushed to the brink. Themes of disillusionment, frustration and, at times, anger are perfectly captured on tracks such as “Everyone’s Alone,” “Can’t Sleep It Off,” “Smiling With Hate,” and “It’s Getting Worse.”
“I think what sets us apart from a lot of bands out there right now is the fact that we are experiencing the exact same things as our fans and that’s what our songs are about, says guitarist Jason Nott. Bruno agrees, “The songs on this album are about being frustrated with a lot of things, most of the lyrics I write are personal, but I think anyone listening can relate to them in their own way. I leave it up to them to interpret what they are hearing.”
Produced by Drive A alongside Dennis Hill and Matt Sorum (Guns ‘N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), Loss Of Desire serves as a sonic testament to what is new, what is now, and what is next, but it is their live show where Drive A will make its stand and they will have plenty of opportunities as the band is getting ready to get back in the van and hit the touring trail once again and they are not looking back.
“Touring is the life’s blood of this band,” says Mascolo. “Recording and everything else is cool, but we are a live band and that is the best way to experience Drive A.”
Already slated to appear on both Bamboozle Right & Left, dates on the Alternative Press Tour as well as slew of other live dates at home in the U.S. and overseas as well, the next year will be a busy one for this band of friends from Southern California. 你忘了自己如果按照别人的意图去做，你是无法超越那人的
历史可以证明，制度和法律都在变换，现在如果按照清朝的制度，我们的生活依然会很落后（我只是打个比方），历史上的谋杀，篡位......也没有相同的成功概率

所以说所有好的东西可以借鉴，但不可以照搬.....

AIRLESS, founded in 2000, is a classy Hard Rock outfit from Spain imbued with the individualistic guitar skills of Robert Rodrigo. The band debuted for domestic label Vinny Records with a self-titled album in 2002 whilst their follow up, "2nd Round" saw release in 2005 by Lion Music. Now the band is back with “Fight”, an album with a slightly harder edge than before, and a rawer production which better represents their potent live show.

“Fight” is a more direct release than its predecessors and lyrically is a much more personal affair with vocalist Iñaki Lazkano’s words stemming from personal experience. The guitar work of Robert Rodrigo is as impressive as ever, being a veritable feast of guitar tricks and meaty hook filled riffs and a must hear for fans of Eddie Van Halen, Vito Bratta and Neal Schon. “Fight” is another display of guitar greatness from one of Spain’s leading rock guitar authorities. Airless also have the skills of rhythm section members Pako Martinez (drums) and Miguel Manjón (bass) who power the music along with solidity and authority. Fans of bands such as Harem Scarem and modern day Whitesnake will find much to enjoy on the bands third album.

On hearing "Empathy", Madonna sited Mandalay as her favourite band and chose the first single "This Life" to be featured on the film soundtrack for her film. "The Next Best Thing". "This Life" was also chosen to feature on the soundtrack to the hit British film "This Year's Love"

Many other Mandalay songs were featured on cult TV series' including "La Femme Nikita", "Six Feet Under" and "CSI Miami".

The third single "Beautiful" appeared on a number of chillout albums of the time including the world famous compilation series' "cafe del mar (vol 6)" and Hedkandi's "Serve Chilled". As a result Mandalay were invited to headline at the Cafe del mar 2oth anniversary celebrations in Ibiza in 2000. A sunset remix of "Beautiful" was recorded and mixed by Lenny Ibizarre, the leading chillout DJ/musician on the island. The song "Beautiful" went on to win a major advertising campaign (Estee Lauder, featuring Liz Hurley) and was chosen for the title track of German film "Der Eisbar". More recently "Beautiful" was covered by Sarah Brightman and released as the lead single for her hit album "Harem".

Mandalay's 2nd album "Instinct" was co-produced with Andy Bradfield (Everything But the Girl, Future Sound of London, Bjork) and Yoad Nevo (Jem)
".. draws inspiration from jazz and classical music to create resolutely elegant, affecting pop .... lush and expansive, Instinct's musical world is perfectly realised" (MK The Guardian).
The first single from this album "Deep Love" was remixed by Nitin Sawhney and Mandalay went on to support Nitin on his UK/London dates. Performances at Ibza's chillout festivals followed including "Las Dallias" and "Dreamdaze" culminating in a headline performance at The Big Chill UK, Sanctuary Stage.

A third album "Solace" followed, released exclusively in the US comprising a mix of tracks from Mandalay's two existing albums (both previously unavailable in the US) together with an 11 track remix album with contributions from Wagon Christ, Alex Reece and Charlie May. This marked the beginning of a growing success in America where "Solace" Soundscanned over 44,000 copies.

After Mandalay's demise, Nicola's song writing and vocal talents were sought by DJ Tiesto who chose her song "In My Memory" for his forthcoming album. With a deft remix from him, it became the title track and lead single for the album, the success of which led to a live performance by Nicola at the Dutch Music Awards in 2002.

During the last three years she has continued to be sought by artists/musicians/dj's contacting her via the internet and email with requests for possible collaborations and she found herself in the fortunate position of being able to choose who to work with ... and how ... and when ...... she began working on tracks from avant garde composers Hector Zazou, Ryuichi Sakomoto, Lenny Ibizarre and the underground artist & DJ Chris Brann (Wamdue Project, T'paah etc). The resulting album "Passive Aggressive" stands a collection of her favourite collaborations from this time and is the first release on her own label Tempted.

Lunascape sound mixes catchy rhythms, ethereal samples and loops and rock Guitar, blended carefully with smooth melodies and Kyoko's enchanting voice. At the core of Lunascape are musicians Kyoko Baertsoen and Walter Hilhorst.

The duo originally met in 1993 at the Television and Film Academy in Brussels, Belgium and began to fiddle around with covers and some original material. In 1997, Kyoko was offered the spot of lead singer for Hooverphonic and her work with Walter was put on the back burner. After touring Europe extensively with Hooverphonic, Kyoko left the band and returned to her work with Walter; Lunascape was born.

Lunascape landed a record deal in 1998 and singles began to trickle out over the next few years. But it wasn't until 2002 that Lunascape's debut album Reflecting Seyelence was released, showcasing the group's ethereal blend of trip-hop, moody pop, and electronic textures framed by Baertsoen's lush vocals.

While the band was releasing singles in Europe, their first North American exposure came in an unusual way. In 2001, Kyoko starred alongside Harry Shearer in the IMAX 3-D film "Haunted Castle". Kyoko plays the part of The Mother and sings the Lunascape song "Lane Navachi". Kyoko became an underground cult figure. Fans uncovered Lunascape's European catalog and import versions began to sell in the US.

In 2003 Lunascape's fortunes took another unusual turn. Sinead O'Connor teamed up with Delerium's Rhys Fulber for his new project, Conjure One. The first single was a cover of Lunascape's "Tears From The Moon" Kyoko and Walter had worked on the song with famed producer Rick Nowels (Madonna, Dido) in his LA studio. Sinead and Rhys' version went to number 3 on Billboard's Dance Chart and hovered in the Top 5 for several weeks becoming a hallmark of dance clubs throughout the world in the Summer of 2003.

2004 marked Lunascape's return to the studio with their second release Mindstalking, as well as the score for another 3-D-Imax movie, "SOS Planet".

That year, Noir Records released an American compilation of their first two albums in under the name Reminiscence. This disc included remixes of their single "Mindstalking" and several video tracks.

Lunascape's new release is Innerside, twelve stunning new tracks, due out February 26th (February 29th EU). Innerside is also available as a two-disc limited edition release featuring an additional 10 previously unreleased tracks, including several from the tv series Flikken.
Lunascape Innerside: the inside has come outside: haunting melodies, deeply atmospheric soundscapes and Kyoko's angelic voice.

Jason Lytle first wandered into the public consciousness as the principal singer and songwriter for the band Grandaddy. Formed in Modesto, CA in 1992, and eventually consisting of Lytle along with Aaron Burtch, Tim Dryden, Jim Fairchild and Kevin Garcia, the band initially broke through with 1997's Under the Western Freeway and the NME-praised single "Summer Here Kids." The band's sound,” atmospheric electronics meet warped Americana”, crystallized on 2000's Sophtware Slump, which was met with breathless hype and earned the band "Next Big Thing" status. Tireless rounds of international touring and mountains of fawning press led to 2003's Sumday, increasing album sales, more touring, more press ,T.V.show appearances, and a slot on the main stage at the Glastonbury festival. The band produced another EP and an album entitled Just Like the Fambly Cat, before disbanding in 2006. Jason has gone on to create music for a number of national and international commercials and has recently finished his first solo album.He currently lives in Montana U.S.A.His interests include hiking in woods, skateboarding in skateparks, bicycling on anything, skiing on mountains,Playing the piano in his living room, and occasionally recording music………….and occasionally playing shows.
